When it comes to clothes, some of us love the thrill of the hunt. But not everyone likes sifting through previously worn merchandise, which is why this north-end shop is so appealing. Packed to the rafters with women’s tops, suits and dresses, the ambience is pure bargain basement, but the clothes, all brand new (consisting of manufacturer’s overruns and overstock) are a fashion hound’s dream. Stock is marked down by 50 to 80 per cent off retail; an Ermanno Scervino tank top, regularly $250, can be had for $39.99; suits by Plein Sud are $200 (from $800). Other designer finds include a Betsey Johnson ’80s-inspired strapless dress ($99.99), a DKNY coat ($69.99) and a Nanette Lepore miniskirt ($69.99). There’s also a small selection of wedding gowns, bags, jewellery and accessories. Bargain hunters should visit often: new stock arrives every two weeks.
